Longview ISD continues to make meaningful progress on several bond-funded projects, with a design and planning meeting that was completed at Longview High School. District leaders and architects met to discuss the layout and vision for:
A brand-new cafeteria that prioritizes comfort, natural light, and flexible seating
The renovation of 2nd-floor bathrooms, designed for improved accessibility, cleanliness, and student experience
A new parking lot near the football field to accommodate more staff, student, and game-day traffic
“These aren’t just construction projects—they’re intentional investments in our students’ learning environment,” said Superintendent Dr. Marla Sheppard. “We’re grateful to our community for supporting these improvements through the bond, and we’re committed to keeping everyone informed along the way.”
Construction timelines and conceptual renderings will be shared with the community as designs are finalized. Stay tuned for updates on the district’s social media platforms and the #BuiltByTheBond YouTube series.
