Big things are happening at Longview ISD, and we are excited to share the latest updates from your voter-approved bond projects. From the brand-new Natatorium to the upcoming groundbreaking on the Multipurpose and CTE buildings, every step forward is another investment in our students' future.
Longview ISD is proud to announce the 100% design drawings for the new Natatorium at Longview High School are complete. This milestone is the result of thoughtful planning and collaboration between our district, architects, and project partners—all made possible by the overwhelming support of our community through the 2024 bond.
The new Natatorium will be a first-of-its-kind facility for Longview ISD, providing state-of-the-art aquatic spaces designed not only for competitive swimming but also for physical education, community programs, and future generations of Lobos.
Highlights
A full-sized competition pool with spectator seating
Modern locker rooms and training spaces
Cutting-edge lighting and sound systems to enhance both game day moments and everyday use
A focus on accessibility and community pride
While the permitting process may take up to 45 days, the project is moving on schedule and represents one of many exciting upgrades happening across the district.
Additional Facilities in Progress
In addition to the Natatorium, permits for the Multipurpose Building and the Career and Technical Education (CTE) facility are progressing well, with completion of approvals expected around October 29th —just in time for the groundbreaking ceremony. These facilities will further expand opportunities for students, blending academics, athletics, and career readiness in dynamic new spaces.
