Longview High School senior Javier Glave has been honored with the Great American Rivalry Series® Scholar Athlete Award! 🏆
This prestigious award recognizes outstanding senior football players who excel not only on the field but also in the classroom and in their communities. As a Scholar Athlete, Javier is now eligible for the Scholar Athlete All-America Team, where fan and community voting will determine additional scholarship recipients.

On Saturday, August 16, our Lobo Football Boosters hosted the annual Meet the Lobos Luncheon—a wonderful kickoff to the season filled with great food, community spirit, and plenty of Lobo pride!
A big thank you to all our families, fans, and supporters who came out to celebrate our student-athletes and coaches. Your energy and encouragement set the tone for what’s sure to be another exciting season of Lobo Football!

We have submitted 100% construction drawings for the new Multi-Purpose Indoor Facility, the first major project funded by the $456.2 million bond voters approved in 2024.
With permitting now in progress, construction is set to begin this October, with groundbreaking anticipated in the first week of November. The new facility will feature:
🏈 120-yard turf field for marching band & sports
⚾ Batting cages
🏌 Golf simulators
🏋 Weight room
🚿 Locker rooms & coaches’ offices
“This is progress you can see,” says Superintendent Dr. Marla Sheppard. “Every dollar is being used responsibly to give our students the spaces they deserve.”
Longview ISD high school teachers had the incredible opportunity to engage in professional development with the renowned @drmarciatate, author of "Worksheets Don’t Grow Dendrites".
Dr. Tate’s session was packed with powerful, research-based strategies that activate student engagement and brain-based learning. Our teachers were fully immersed—modeling, moving, discussing, and reflecting on how to bring each strategy to life in their classrooms.
They left inspired and equipped to create even more dynamic, student-centered learning environments.
