Theme: “Be an Upstander – Choose Kindness Every Day!”
Join us as we come together to stand up against bullying and promote kindness, respect, and unity across our campus! Each day during Anti-Bullying Awareness Week, students will participate in special activities during lunch, themed dress-up days, and morning announcements.
Here’s what’s happening each day:
Monday – Kickoff & Awareness (“Be an Upstander”)
Students wear blue to show peace and solidarity. Students will sign our Pledge Banner in the cafeteria or hallway, promising to stand against bullying.
💗 Tuesday – Kindness Counts (“Kindness is Contagious”)
Students wear pink and take part in a Kindness Challenge, like smiling at five people or holding the door open. Acts of kindness will be shared on our Random Acts of Kindness Board in the main hallway.
🧡 Wednesday – Unity Day (“We Stand Together”)
Everyone wears orange, the national color for bullying prevention! During lunch, students will join a Mix-It-Up Lunch, sitting with new friends and using icebreaker cards to build connections.
💙 Thursday – Respect & Inclusion (“Respect All, Exclude None”)
It’s Twin Day! Students are encouraged to coordinate with a friend to show unity and inclusion. Teachers will hand out “Caught Being Kind” tickets for kind actions—students can enter these in a special raffle!
💙 Friday – Celebration & Reflection (“Blue Devil Pride: We Choose Kindness”)
We’ll wrap up the week with School Spirit Day! Students wear school colors to show their pride and commitment to kindness.
Together, we can make a difference—be an upstander, not a bystander!

Tuesday, October 21 | 5:00 PM | Judson STEAM Academy
Judson STEAM Academy is proud to host Heritage Night, an evening dedicated to celebrating the rich cultures, traditions, and stories that make up our diverse school community. Families, students, and staff are invited to join us for a night of food, music, performances, and connection.
The celebration will kick off at 5:00 PM, where guests can grab a plate and enjoy a variety of foods representing the cultures within our community—tacos, soul food, and traditional snacks are already on the menu, with more dishes welcome as families contribute to the feast.
The evening’s schedule will feature a lineup of performances by our talented students, including the JSA Choir, Astros Tejanos, Majorettes, and other student groups. There will also be a Fashion Show where participants can show off cultural attire, followed by a lively Dance Party (Hora Loca) to close out the night!
Families and students are encouraged to dress to represent their heritage or culture. In addition, teachers and students will create a centerpiece display that tells their cultural story. These centerpieces can be as simple or elaborate as they like—just a creative reflection of what makes your heritage special.
Heritage Night is more than an event—it’s a chance for our school community to connect, share our stories, and build trust through understanding and celebration. We can’t wait to see you there!
