cafeteria at high school

Longview ISD continues to make meaningful progress on several bond-funded projects, with a design and planning meeting that was completed at Longview High School. District leaders and architects met to discuss the layout and vision for:

  • A brand-new cafeteria that prioritizes comfort, natural light, and flexible seating

  • The renovation of 2nd-floor bathrooms, designed for improved accessibility, cleanliness, and student experience

  • A new parking lot near the football field to accommodate more staff, student, and game-day traffic

โ€œThese arenโ€™t just construction projectsโ€”theyโ€™re intentional investments in our studentsโ€™ learning environment,โ€ said Superintendent Dr. Marla Sheppard. โ€œWeโ€™re grateful to our community for supporting these improvements through the bond, and weโ€™re committed to keeping everyone informed along the way.โ€

Construction timelines and conceptual renderings will be shared with the community as designs are finalized. Stay tuned for updates on the districtโ€™s social media platforms and the #BuiltByTheBond YouTube series.
