Parents and Guardians,

We are officially in testing season at Longview High School. These assessments are extremely important for our students and our campus.

We kindly ask that you carefully review the upcoming testing dates below and avoid scheduling appointments, trips, or other commitments on these days. It is very important that students:

1. Arrive to school on time
2. Remain at school for the entire testing session
3. Avoid checking out early

Late arrivals and early dismissals can disrupt testing sessions and may require students to complete make-up exams on alternate days.

🗓 Testing Dates to Remember:

March 18 – Biology EOC Simulation
March 19 – U.S. History EOC Simulation
March 25 – Algebra I EOC Simulation
March 25–27 – PSAT (10th Grade)
April 7 – English I EOC STAAR
April 8 – English II EOC STAAR
April 21 – Biology EOC STAAR
April 22 – U.S. History EOC STAAR
April 28 – Algebra I EOC STAAR

Thank you in advance for your support in helping us ensure a smooth and successful testing season for all students. We truly appreciate your partnership and commitment to student success!

LHS HOSA Shines at State Leadership Conference! 🌟🩺

This weekend, Longview High School HOSA–Future Health Professionals attended the Spring Leadership Conference at Parker University in Dallas under the leadership of Health Science Instructor and HOSA Advisor Mrs. Kindie Gilstrap, MSN, RN.

We’re proud to share that the Parliamentary Procedure Team placed in the Top 10 — an outstanding accomplishment!

Even more exciting, our HOSA president, Ezequiel Pascual-Mata, was elected as a Texas HOSA Area 3 Officer for the 2026–2027 school year. Area 3 represents more than 200 school districts and over 10,000 HOSA members, making this an incredible achievement.

Their hard work, preparation, and leadership truly paid off. We are so proud of these students for representing Longview with excellence.

This week, we proudly celebrate our incredible school counselors and the impact they make every single day at Longview High School. Our counselors do far more than manage schedules—they advocate for students, support academic success, guide social-emotional growth, and help students navigate life’s challenges with care and compassion. They are trusted listeners, problem-solvers, and true champions for our students and families.

We encourage staff, students and parents to take a moment this week to write a note of appreciation to our counselors to thank them for all they do to support our LHS community. A kind word or simple thank-you goes a long way and means more than you know.

Our counselors serve our students in the following ways:
• Ms. Lovely – Students with last names A–E
• Ms. Simmons – Students with last names F–Le
• Ms. Spencer – Students with last names Li–Roc
• Ms. Cameron – Students with last names Rod–Z
• Ms. Beall – Dual Credit
• Ms. Coker – IS/DP
• Ms. Krueger – CTE/IBC Certifications
• Ms. A. Lee – Senior Class

Thank you to our amazing counseling team for your dedication, care, and commitment to helping every Lobo succeed. 💚

Good evening Lobo Families,

As we close out the 3rd six weeks and bring the first semester of the school year to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and growth shown by our students, staff, and families. This grading period marked an important transition point as students completed semester coursework and prepared to begin the second half of the year.

Attached, you will find our parent newsletter, which highlights accomplishments from the 3rd six weeks and provides important information regarding upcoming spring dates, campus events, and expectations as we begin the second semester. We encourage you to review the newsletter carefully, check your student’s progress in Skyward, and have conversations with them about goals for continued success moving forward.

Your partnership plays a critical role in helping our students stay focused, supported, and prepared as we enter the new semester. Together, we can ensure a strong finish to the school year.

Thank you for your continued support of our campus and our students. Our Lobo community is stronger because of you! 💚🐺

Go Lobos!
