District-Wide Summer Opportunity for Emergent Bilingual (EB) Students! Forest Park Middle School is excited to host a Theater-Based Summer Camp open to EB students across the district! This engaging camp is designed to help students strengthen their English skills through a fun and interactive approach. Students will participate in a theater production while building confidence, improving communication, and developing academic language skills that support success on TELPAS and STAAR. In addition to theater, students will also explore: public speaking, leadership development, healthy cooking, and financial literacy. We are proud to partner with 4-H Gregg County to provide hands-on, real-world learning experiences that make learning meaningful and fun! June 1–25 (Monday–Thursday) 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Doors open at 7:30 AM) Forest Park Middle School This opportunity is open to all EB students in the district, regardless of feeder patterns. While participation is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged for students who would benefit from additional language support in a supportive and engaging environment. Hope Walks Here. You Are Not Alone.

Join us for the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk on May 9, 2026 as we come together to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention in our community.

While this event is organized by Forest Park, this is a district-wide and community-wide event—we invite all of Longview ISD, families, friends, and community members to walk with us in support of hope and healing.

Where: Williams Lake (behind Mobberly Baptist Church)

When: Registration: 8:30 AM

Program begins: 9:30 AM

Mental health service providers will be on-site to share valuable resources and support. After the walk, stay and enjoy music and a food truck as we continue building community together.

Big Round of Applause for our 8th Grade Scholars! 🏆📚 We are bursting with pride as we announce the results of the 2025 Longview ISD Middle School Scholars Program! 🌟 After qualifying academically, these dedicated 8th graders underwent specialized ACT training to sharpen their math, english, and reading skills. They took on the challenge of a full-length ACT test—and the results are in!
