This week, we proudly celebrate our incredible school counselors and the impact they make every single day at Longview High School. Our counselors do far more than manage schedulesโ€”they advocate for students, support academic success, guide social-emotional growth, and help students navigate lifeโ€™s challenges with care and compassion. They are trusted listeners, problem-solvers, and true champions for our students and families.

We encourage staff, students and parents to take a moment this week to write a note of appreciation to our counselors to thank them for all they do to support our LHS community. A kind word or simple thank-you goes a long way and means more than you know.

Our counselors serve our students in the following ways:
โ€ข Ms. Lovely โ€“ Students with last names Aโ€“E
โ€ข Ms. Simmons โ€“ Students with last names Fโ€“Le
โ€ข Ms. Spencer โ€“ Students with last names Liโ€“Roc
โ€ข Ms. Cameron โ€“ Students with last names Rodโ€“Z
โ€ข Ms. Beall โ€“ Dual Credit
โ€ข Ms. Coker โ€“ IS/DP
โ€ข Ms. Krueger โ€“ CTE/IBC Certifications
โ€ข Ms. A. Lee โ€“ Senior Class

Thank you to our amazing counseling team for your dedication, care, and commitment to helping every Lobo succeed. ๐Ÿ’š

Good evening Lobo Families,

As we close out the 3rd six weeks and bring the first semester of the school year to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and growth shown by our students, staff, and families. This grading period marked an important transition point as students completed semester coursework and prepared to begin the second half of the year.

Attached, you will find our parent newsletter, which highlights accomplishments from the 3rd six weeks and provides important information regarding upcoming spring dates, campus events, and expectations as we begin the second semester. We encourage you to review the newsletter carefully, check your studentโ€™s progress in Skyward, and have conversations with them about goals for continued success moving forward.

Your partnership plays a critical role in helping our students stay focused, supported, and prepared as we enter the new semester. Together, we can ensure a strong finish to the school year.

Thank you for your continued support of our campus and our students. Our Lobo community is stronger because of you! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿบ

Go Lobos!

Longview ISD Esports made a big statement this past weekend at The OC in Forney, where college recruiters from across Texas gathered to scout rising talent.
๐Ÿ‘ Longview High School standout Cohen Hardish dominated the Super Smash Brothers bracket, finishing Top 5 out of 124 competitors โ€” an incredible achievement on a major stage!
๐Ÿš€ Forest Park Middle Schoolโ€™s Rocket League squad โ€” Jose Sifuentes, Hugo Robles, and Byron Rodriguez โ€” powered through a tough bracket to earn an impressive 3rd place finish, proving that the future of Longview Esports is bright.
This event marks another milestone in the growth of our esports program and Longview ISDโ€™s commitment to creating opportunities in competition, teamwork, and pathways into college-level gaming and digital media.
