Foster Middle School Families,

We are excited to welcome you to Meet the Teacher on Thursday, August 27! This is a great opportunity to meet your childโ€™s teachers, visit classrooms, and connect with our school community as we prepare for a successful school year. Please note that this is a meet and greet event, not a time for individual parent conferences. Teachers will not be available for extended one-on-one meetings during this time, but we look forward to building positive connections with you.

While you are on campus, we will also host our Title I Parent Meeting. We invite you to join us to learn more about our Title I program, school resources, and how we can partner together to support your childโ€™s success.

๐ŸŽ‰ What an incredible first day of school! Thank you families for helping us start the year off strong.

To keep our campus safe, focused, and running smoothly, here are a few quick reminders regarding dress code and dismissal:

๐Ÿ‘— Dress Code & Safety Standards

Shorts & Skirts: Must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee all the way around (front, back, and sides).

The Dollar Bill Test: Turn a standard dollar bill horizontally against the top of the kneecapโ€”if the hem touches or covers the top edge of the bill all around, it passes!

Why It Matters: Our top priority is your childโ€™s safety, dignity, and comfort. Proper hemlines help protect students from unwanted attention so they can focus on learning.

Hoodies & Other Outerwear: Must be Lobo spirit wear, Foster spirit wear, or a solid color. Hoods and other headwear are not allowed to be worn inside the building.

See this link for more information on the campus dress code: https://canva.link/s4h8532n3s1g6t2

๐Ÿ‘‹ Parent & Visitor Expectations

We love having families visit! Please remember to dress appropriately and presentably whenever entering the building to help set a positive example for our students.

๐Ÿš— Dismissal & Pick-Up Zones

6th Grade: Back of the school

7th Grade: Front of the school

8th Grade: Side of the school

Sibling Exception: Students with older siblings may go directly to their older siblingโ€™s dismissal area so you can pick them up together!

Thank you for your partnership in making this a safe, successful year! โœจ
