Please encourage your child to get a good night’s rest so they are focused and ready to do their best. We appreciate your support in helping our students finish the year strong!

The i-Ready End-of-Year Reading assessment for 6th–8th grade students has been rescheduled to **Monday, May 4th**.

Thank you for your flexibility and support as we work to ensure a smooth testing experience for all students! 📚✨

Attention Parents!
There will be a parent meeting May 6, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for students in grades 7–11. The meeting will be held at Forest Park Middle School.

During the meeting, they will review how to interpret PSAT scores and discuss effective strategies to help students perform successfully on the PSAT.

Additional information will be shared closer to the date.

We’re excited to host our **End-of-Year Food Fest** tomorrow at Foster Middle School! All food items will be available for purchase during students’ regular lunch times.

This event is more than just great food—it’s a chance to **support our school organizations**, as proceeds go directly back to our student groups. 🙌

📚✨ Math STAAR Testing Tomorrow ✨📚 Tomorrow is our Math STAAR Test, and we are so proud of how hard our students have worked all year long! We know they are ready to SOAR and show just how much they’ve learned. Let’s cheer them on as they shine! ♥️ At the same time, we want every student to remember: you are MORE than a test score. Your effort, growth, and determination matter most! 📝 Testing Tips for Success: • Get a good night’s rest • Eat a healthy breakfast (FREE breakfast is available at school!) • Arrive to school ON TIME • Encourage your child to do their very best — they’ve got this! • Use learned strategies • Stay positive and confident 👕 Reminders: • Students must follow the school dress code (this still applies during testing) • All devices must be turned in before testing or left at home Let’s partner together to set our students up for success. We are incredibly proud of our Foster Middle School Select Choir for their outstanding performance at the Solo & Ensemble Competition! 🎶

Our talented students brought home an impressive **28 Division I (Superior) medals**—a true testament to their hard work and dedication.

A special congratulations to **Aree Lewis, Jharai Briley, and Jordynn Cotton** for earning **Best Performance Awards**—an incredible honor! 👏

Foster Middle School students represented us with pride as they competed against top 6A schools from across the great state of Texas in Number Sense, Calculator, General Math, and Science!

A special congratulations to Kapil Vattikuti for placing **19th in Number Sense** and an outstanding **8th in Calculator**—an incredible achievement at this level of competition! 👏

Overall, Foster earned **23rd place out of 40 schools**, showcasing the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of our students.

We are so proud of all of our competitors for representing Foster with determination and excellence! 💙📚

We would like to invite you to join us as we honor and celebrate the life of Ms. Kimm Law. A memorial service will be held this Saturday, April 25th, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. in the Foster Middle School cafeteria. During this time, we will come together to reflect, share memories, and celebrate the impact Ms. Law had on our campus and community. If you have any pictures of yourself and Ms. Law, please email them to Ms. Stoxstell as soon as possible so they can be included in the memorial. We hope you are able to attend as we remember and honor Ms. Law together.

The seventh and eighth grade bands participated in the UIL concert and sight-reading competition this week, in Carthage. Both bands earned superior ratings in both the concert portion and sight- reading portion! Their first division ratings earned them a large trophy for display. The judges were extremely complimentary of the students and their high quality musicianship on some very difficult literature!
We are very proud of the students for their efforts and commitment- recognizing that very few bands earned the same superior ratings!
Heartfelt thanks and congrats to the students and to Ms. Alexander and Ms. Elrod for a job well done!
