Hello Students, Families, and Staff,
We want to take a moment to send a friendly reminder about our campus dress code expectations. Our goal is to maintain a focused and respectful learning environment for all students, and consistent adherence to the dress code helps support that.
To clarify:
* **Joggers (uniform style) are allowed; however, **sweatpants are not permitted**.
* **Slides, slippers, or shoes without a back** are not appropriate for school. Students should wear secure, closed-back footwear each day.
We understand that some items can look similar, which can sometimes cause confusion. To help with this, we encourage everyone to review the detailed dress code guidelines, including descriptions and pictures, at the link below:
Foster Website - School Uniform
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students come to school prepared and in compliance with expectations. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We appreciate your partnership!
Warm regards,
Foster Middle School
This is a reminder that tomorrow all FMS students will take their STAAR Math Simulation. We will conduct this assessment using official STAAR testing procedures, as it is more formal than our common campus assessments.
Please note the following important information:
* Any students who normally report to the high school campus must report to Foster Middle School.
* Our campus will be closed to visitors and shut down for testing.
* Please make every effort to ensure your child arrives on time and remains at school for the entire day.
* Dress code will be strictly enforced. Blankets, pillows, Crocs, slides, and stuffed animals will not be permitted.
We ask that you emphasize the importance of this assessment with your child, as the data will help us determine any additional needs and supports for the remainder of the school year.
On Thursday, we will follow the same structured testing schedule for Social Studies. Eighth grade students will take their STAAR Social Studies Simulation, while sixth and seventh grade students will complete their middle-of-year exam.
Thank you for your continued support!
