🎟️ October Attendance Incentive
Every day in October, classes with every student present, on time, and not absent will earn a pawprint. Once a class collects 10 pawprints, they will celebrate with a popcorn party hosted by the principals!
📸 Picture Day – Tomorrow
Reminder that tomorrow is Picture Day. Students need to wear their school uniforms.
📚 Book Buddy School Store Fundraiser
A big thank you to everyone who has supported our Book Buddy School Store fundraiser! All money raised goes directly back to classroom teachers to purchase supplies and books for their students.
🎡 PTO Fall Fest – October 17th
Mark your calendars! Our Fall Fest will be on Friday, October 17th. All proceeds go directly to PTO to support students and teachers.
➡️ Note: To help spread out fundraisers, we will launch our Hudson PEP Coupon Cards after Fall Fest. More information will come home soon.

To help protect instructional minutes and support strong attendance, please try to schedule student appointments during their specials/enrichment block or after school when possible:
1st/2nd Grade: 10:10–11:40 AM
3rd/4th Grade: 8:05–9:40 AM (please have students at school by 10:00 AM for attendance)

Parents, we’d love for you to join us for our Title 1 Curriculum Night! This is a great opportunity to learn about grade-level expectations, classroom routines, and how we can work together to support your child’s success.

This will be a sit-down meeting for parents and guardians to hear important information from teachers and learn more about our Title 1 program. We can’t wait to see you there!



Please help your child come prepared for success on their PE days by wearing tennis shoes and comfortable, appropriate attire.

🚪 Starting Tuesday, August 12th, our Hudson PEP staff will be ready and stationed to help guide students to class.
All teachers will be at their classroom doors by 7:00 AM on August 11th to greet and welcome your child with Panther Pride! 🐾💙❤️


This year, all car riders will be dropped off in the back each morning.
Dismissal:

For a smooth and safe dismissal, please avoid picking up students after 3:45 PM.

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I am thrilled to kick off another amazing year at Hudson PEP Elementary—home of Panther Pride and high expectations! We are excited to welcome both new and returning families into our vibrant learning community, where we believe in every child’s ability to grow, achieve, and thrive.
At Hudson PEP, we are committed to academic excellence, student safety, and strong family partnerships. Our dedicated staff has planned engaging activities and instructional strategies to ensure a successful and enriching school year for your child.
🏫 School Hours & Arrival Info
Doors Open: 7:00 AM
Breakfast Available: 7:15–7:50 AM (Free for all students!)
Tardy Bell: 7:50 AM
Dismissal: 3:30 PM
New for 2025–2026: All parent drop-off will occur in the back of the school. The front entrance will no longer be used for drop-off in order to improve both safety and traffic flow.
🍎 First Day of School – Monday, August 11th
Parents are welcome to walk their child to class on the first day only. Starting Tuesday, August 12th, staff will be on hand to assist students to class independently.
🛡️ Safety Is Our Priority
Hudson PEP follows all Longview ISD safety protocols, including:
Locked doors and badge/key access across campus
Regular safety drills (fire, lockdown, secure, severe weather, etc.)
Daily presence of a School Marshal and periodic visits from Longview PD
Comprehensive staff training including Avoid-Deny-Defend and Stop the Bleed
Our top priority is providing a safe, welcoming environment for every student and staff member.
🥪 Lunch With Your Child
Parents are invited to eat lunch with their child starting Monday, August 25th. Visitors must:
Check in at the front office with a photo ID
Eat with their child only (no additional classmates)
Follow posted lunch times
🎓 Weekly Traditions
College Shirt Thursdays: Students may wear a college shirt with uniform bottoms.
Spirit Fridays: Show your Panther or Lobo pride with a Hudson PEP or Longview ISD shirt!
🚗 Dismissal & Car Line Procedures
Car riders must display a school-issued car tag and remain in vehicles during pickup.
Parents arriving in person must bring a valid government-issued photo ID.
Our front office closes at 2:45 PM, so please plan early pickups accordingly.
🎒 Supplies & Uniforms
School supplies are provided for every student.
Students may bring any style of backpack and water bottle (please label with first/last name and ensure spill-proof lids).
For uniform assistance, please contact Ms. Scott or Ms. Vallery—we’re happy to help!
