Dear Hudson PEP Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I am thrilled to kick off another amazing year at Hudson PEP Elementary—home of Panther Pride and high expectations! We are excited to welcome both new and returning families into our vibrant learning community, where we believe in every child’s ability to grow, achieve, and thrive.
At Hudson PEP, we are committed to academic excellence, student safety, and strong family partnerships. Our dedicated staff has planned engaging activities and instructional strategies to ensure a successful and enriching school year for your child.
🏫 School Hours & Arrival Info
Doors Open: 7:00 AM
Breakfast Available: 7:15–7:50 AM (Free for all students!)
Tardy Bell: 7:50 AM
Dismissal: 3:30 PM
New for 2025–2026: All parent drop-off will occur in the back of the school. The front entrance will no longer be used for drop-off in order to improve both safety and traffic flow.
🍎 First Day of School – Monday, August 11th
Parents are welcome to walk their child to class on the first day only. Starting Tuesday, August 12th, staff will be on hand to assist students to class independently.
🛡️ Safety Is Our Priority
Hudson PEP follows all Longview ISD safety protocols, including:
Locked doors and badge/key access across campus
Regular safety drills (fire, lockdown, secure, severe weather, etc.)
Daily presence of a School Marshal and periodic visits from Longview PD
Comprehensive staff training including Avoid-Deny-Defend and Stop the Bleed
Our top priority is providing a safe, welcoming environment for every student and staff member.
🥪 Lunch With Your Child
Parents are invited to eat lunch with their child starting Monday, August 25th. Visitors must:

College Shirt Thursdays: Students may wear a college shirt with uniform bottoms.

Car riders must display a school-issued car tag and remain in vehicles during pickup.
